Transport a priority

While the immediate priority is always ensuring enough food for the 800 children in JCT Malawi’s care, a pressing need for the Foundation is transportation.

The distribution costs of paying suppliers to deliver is becoming increasingly expensive. Currently, when staff travel between centres it’s on hired bikes or foot – which is gruelling, especially during the rainy season.

Whether a truck to distribute food supplies or motorbikes to enable easier monitoring of the work in its 12 centres – which can be hundreds of kilometres apart – a lack of transport is hindering progress.

Help us raise £15,000 towards a second-hand truck to transport vital supplies to the hard-to-reach rural communities with whom we work.
