URGENT HELP NEEDED

Persistent poverty in Malawi is exacerbated by the perennial problem of cyclones. Following on from the Covid-19 pandemic and the deadliest Cholera outbreak in the country’s history, Cyclone Freddy hit Malawi in early March. Flash flooding caused by record-breaking rainfall, washed away buildings and destroyed the crops that were about to be harvested. Over 1,000 people lost their lives across the country.

The JCT Foundation in Malawi urgently need our help. They need food and cooking utensils, support to begin rebuilding, and a truck capable of traversing a region where much of the road infrastructure has been destroyed.

The foundation has distributed clothing, but buying food and cooking utensils is the priority as they try to bring stability and comfort to already troubled children further traumatised by this latest disaster. Will you help?
