Disaster recovery

Since flooding washed away homes, people, and cattle, in April, JCT has been responding to the humanitarian need of food, cooking utensils, and blankets. Aided by donations from local church groups, as well as the friends of JCT, here in the UK, the foundation has been distributing buckets, basins, aluminium cooking pots and bags of soya flour around seven of its centres.

Malawi is currently experiencing cold weather, too. So, where people are sleeping out in the open, blankets have become a priority.

As well as the need to purchase more blankets, perhaps the biggest drain on resources, currently, is the transportation costs in distribution to the remote rural communities. Will you help?
