Covid affecting funding

In the remote, rural locations in which JCT operates, Covid infection rates remain low. However, restrictions on public gatherings have hampered the fundraising activities of the foundation in Malawi, itself, as well as those of supporters in the UK.

The children in JCT’s care still need feeding. And, with the recent re-opening of schools, stocks of soya flour have become stretched. Whilst the foundation is writing directly to church, community, and social services groups locally, wider funding is stretched because of the impact of the pandemic in urban centres.

We appreciate the pandemic is having a financial impact on all of us. However, in the poorest countries, like Malawi, there is not the same kind of government support we have benefitted from in the UK. As such, any support, however small, would make a massive difference. Will you help?
